This country home has all the appeal necessary to hide yourself away for ever more with high-class finishes, nothing short of spectacular.

Its hard to believe that this project started as an existing residence, as it looks and feels like an entirely new home.

Planning was paramount to achieving exceptional results. Excavation of the new foundations were engineered to allow for the existing slab conditions. The existing roof framing was reworked to make sure that the additional structure would be seamless.

The scope also included significant excavation to allow space for the underground retreat. A protruding exterior deck with custom made balustrade was constructed around the ground floor addition which created undisturbed views of the substantial allotment.

The materials used in the construction of this home are of the very best quality, starting with commercial framed aluminium double glazed windows throughout to the engineered European Oak flooring which was stained on site to clients satisfaction.

Specially sourced reclaimed ironbark posts over 7 meters long supported the custom made privacy screens to the front facade.

The second storey was clad in ‘Carter Colt Harvey’ Shadow clad. The ground floor had a high finish render over new and existing brickwork.

Specially made internal laser cut screens were manufactured to create a division between the living and kitchen areas. Prior to installation and to the clients request Estruct converted the fixed screens into sliding screens. This had to be altered on site with precise workmanship.

The joinery was custom designed and built for all areas of the home, the eclectic array of finishes comprised of man made veneer, two pack, stone bench tops and laminated timber.

State-of-the-art automated controls were commissioned to enable full control and functionality for the home’s lighting, security, audio visual and irrigation requirements.
